The Waucheesi Bike Race features two distances: the Wily 88 and the Wonderful 63. This race is both difficult and lovely. 2. Gran Fondo Hincapie-Chattanooga

Starting in the heart of River City, you'll make your way to the winding mountain roads that kick off the Gran Fondo Hincapie-Chattanooga race. Riders are led on a scenic course that follows the Tennessee River and ascends Sequatchie Mountain. Celebrate your successful completion of the Sequatchie Mountain challenge and your survival on the mountain itself with complimentary food and free beer!


3. HARDford 50 and HARDERford 75 Gravel Race

The HARDford 50 Gravel Grinder in Hartford, Tennessee, is the hottest gravel event of the summer in the middle of the Smokies. A 50+ mile route with 6,500 feet of climbing and a 75-mile course with 10,300 feet of climbing are available to put your endurance and fitness to the test. Courses climb through the Cherokee and Pisgah National Forests. Both courses are fully supported. Both CX and MTB are welcome. The route is 75% gravel and 10% dirt and the rest is paved. The Grassy Fork Rural Medical Services Clinic and the Appalachian Mountain Bike Club each get a share of the money that comes in.
